BISOPE series 3- Comparison of DC motor and AC motor
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The first way to classify the motor according to the
type of power is to check whether it is DC power or AC power. The AC motor is
the most common type of motor and there are 220V single-phase motors, but the
380V 3-phase induction motor is the most used motor in the industrial field. In
general, it is driven at a fixed rated speed (Rated RPM), but the speed can be
changed like a DC motor by using an inverter. If you get a hint from this, DC
motors are mainly used where there is strong torque and frequent starting.
Also, the price is higher than that of AC induction motors, which are generally
produced. In this regard, we briefly compare the two types of motors.
Comparison between DC motor and AC induction motor
Although motors are used for many purposes in various
fields, the types of motors most commonly used as industrial (device industry)
motors are as follows.
-DC motor
-AC induction motor (squirrel cage type, winding type)
-AC Synchronous Motor
-AC Servo Motor
-Variable Speed (Inverter) Motor
The two most commonly used types of motors are compared
as follows.
