49- Classification of sensors for dynamic load (vibration, pressure, force)
measurement (DC sensor and AC sensor)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are two types of vibration sensors according to the
classification of signals according to time. There is an eddy current type
(proximity probe) displacement sensor that is representative of DC sensors that can
measure both the amplitude that repeats around the reference position and the
length outside the reference position, and measures only the amplitude that
repeats around the typical reference position of AC sensors. There is also a 'piezo electric
acceleration sensor' that can do it. In addition, there are MEMS accelerometers
or gyroscopic sensors that can additionally know the installation direction of
the sensor based on the gravitational acceleration as well as the amplitude
repeated around the reference position.
Difference between DC and AC
(oscillation)
Since there are various types of
vibration sensors, it is not so easy to choose. However, the most important
question to keep in mind is "Does it measure dynamic only or is it a vibration
sensor that can measure static as well?" This is a very important point.
